Plot

First Cold War: Rival Lan Ling

After Yang Ming receives his new contacts lenses that allow him to cheat with X-ray and telescopic vision, he decides to start studying properly and get into university, to please Chen Mengyan, who had never given up on him. He takes tutoring lessons with her, and uses them as a chance to bond and get closer to her, tricking her into agreeing to be his girlfriend if he successfully gets into university. As time passes however, she comes to like him back, realizing that she misses him when he stops showing up to school during his imprisonment after he was framed for rape.(she didn't know he was in prison at this time) After he returns to school, she slowly lets down her guard with him, eventually even 'rubbing in off' in the move theater until he ejaculated in her hand.

She temporarily breaks up with Yang Ming, after Wang Zhitao shows her pictures of him being arrested coming out of a place well known for prostitution, but does not tell him why she is angry or allow him to explain. It is during this time that Yang Ming goes on a trip with his friend Zhang Bin and his father to learn about Jade gambling. On this trip, due to Yang Ming's depression and Zhang Bins pressure, they visit a whore house, where Yang Ming meets and and takes Lan Ling's virginity. Due to his sense of responsibility, as well as Lan Ling's voodoo curse placed on her by her mother, he decides to bring her back with him as his secret girlfriend. While he is on the trip, Mengyan's father reveals the truth to her, that Yang Ming was framed, and she decides to forgive him and continue their relationship. After returning, he doesn't contact her right away, because he is afraid and ashamed of what he has done, but they eventually reconcile and become a couple again before graduating, deciding to go to the same university together.

Everything is going well until she finds Yang Ming kissing Lan Ling, and she breaks up with him again, refusing to see him or even go to classes for a few days. Worried, he uses his parkour skill to scale her dorm room and explains the situation to her, that he only slept with Lan Ling the first time after she had already broken up with him, and after sleeping with her once, he had no choice but continue to do so, because the curse would take his life otherwise, but that despite this, he still loves Mengyan, and wants to continue to be in a relationship with her. After hearing his situation, talking to their old teacher, Zhao Ying, to get a new prospective, and mulling it over for a few days, she realizes she loves Ying Ming, and can't ask him to die just so she can selfishly have him for herself. She decides to again, continue their relationship, but doesn't want to know, or be involved in his relationship with Lan Ling.

Second Cold War: Rival Zhou Jiajia

She and YM go on a double date to the movie theater during Christmas, hoping to have sex. Unfortunately YM gets drunk and kisses Zhou Jiajia instead. Although she understands it was a mistake, she is no longer in the mood after the incident.

She and YM study hard to pass an exam required to go on a group trip. During the trip they play a Chinese version of "Truth or Dare", which should really just be called "Truth," since no dares are actually made. And YM asks Mengyan if she wants to sleep with him, to which she confirms, but before they are able to have sex, they are interrupted by a group of gangsters that YM had beaten up earlier. Afterword, Mengyan is no longer in the mood.

Mengyan the eternal virgin(joke), and her ever cock-blocked boyfriend YM, go to dinner together, and bump into a date between Wang Zhitao and Jiajia, wherein Jiajia confesses her undying love for YM, making Mengyan think YM was cheating again. YM denies any romantic relationship with Jiajia, but she doesn't believe him and storms off. Jiajia contacts Mengyan's QQ and invites her to a coffee shop, where she apologizes and explains that while she does love YM, it's just one-sided and he did nothing wrong. Jiajia then goes to Mengyan's place, to tell Mengyan and her father, police chief Chen, that she is only dating Zhitao because his father threatened YM's life, asking Chief Chen to protect YM. He agrees and asks Jiajia to spy on the Wang family, who are suspected in smuggling. Not long after Jiajia is almost killed after sending vital evidence to Officer Chen. This makes Mengyan really sympathetic towards Jiajia who sacrificed so much for YM, so much so that she considers sharing YM with Jiajia after she gets out of the hospital.

Third Cold War: Rival Zhao Ying

YM and his parents spend Chinese New Year's at Mengyan's house together with her parents. During the second day of Chinese New Year Festival, she and YM go to the festival, and he shows off his love for her by rock climbing free-hand with her sitting on his shoulders. She is extremely happy, so happy, that she goes to the fair the next day while happily thinking about him, until she bumps into him and Zhao Ying kissing on the safety net of the very same rock climbing wall she scaled with him the day before. Feeling betrayed she runs off, and although they catch up with her, they are not able to calm her down.

After YM goes abroad again for his first Assassination mission, ZY calls Mengyan and invites her to a coffee shop where she explains the situation. Mengyan forgives them both and apologizes to ZY.

Ceasefire Treaty: Lan Ling, Lin Zhiyun, Zhou Jiajia

She finally meets Lin Zhiyun when she and YM stop by a floral shop on the way to visit Jiajia in the hospital. The owner of the shop calls out Zhiyun's name, and Mengyan immediately remembers her name but chooses to remain silent about it, merely looking up and down at Zhiyun's appearance and stating that she is beautiful. In the car she confront YM about it. He reveals that he has been meeting her again, but didnt want to tell her because of her jealousy that always leads to "cold wars". He tells her that he wants to make Zhiyun one of his girlfriends and explains that Zhiyun already knows that YM is together with Mengyan and that he wont leave her. Mengyan tells YM that she will accept Lan Ling, Lin Zhiyun, and Zhou Jiajia as YM's girlfriends.

Later in the hospital she tells the Doctor that YM is Jiajia's boyfriend, so that the doctor will be willing to reveal sensitive information to them. When she learns that Jiajia will not awaken until she resolves her 'heart knot'(regrets), she asks YM to buy her a drink so she can be alone with Jiajia, then uses the opportunity to tell her that they will be 'close sisters', implying that she will share YM with Jiajia. While this is great new for both Jiajia and YM, it is unfortunately not her true 'heart knot', and she does not yet awaken. They then reach an agreement mother Zhou that YM will buy a house near his university, and hire nursing staff to take care of Jiajia until she awakens.

As they leave the hospital, YM tells Mengyan how rich he really is, the various companies under his belt, and reveals how he earned his original fortune. Mengyan feels worried that YM wont want her anymore now that he is rich and powerful, especially since she has such a temper and always gets jealous. But he assures her that she is his first wife and has the right, and even if he wanted to leave her, his mother would never allow it. YM then buys an expensive villa with Mengyan and places it under her name. He also promises to buy her a car.

Chen Mengyan asks YM to get signed copies of Shu Ya's CD's since his company is sponsoring her concert.

Heart-to-Heart with Lin Zhiyun

Mengyan catches YM taking Zhiyun to Tavern Heaven on Earth, and then calls YM's phone half an hour later to ask where he is, who he is with, and what he is doing, to see if he will tell her the truth. Fortunately for him, he tells the truth, and she goes up stairs and has a heart to heart conversation with Zhiyun, who then starts to call her "Sister Yan". After taking Zhiyun home, Mengyan cries from the pain of having to share YM with other woman, and then tells YM to take her back to the tavern. When YM asks her why she wants to go there, she refuses to tell him, but its obvious she wants to have sex with him since he has already done it with Lan Ling and Lin Zhiyun, but not her, the main girlfriend. Before they reach the tavern however, Mengyan receives a call from her mother, informing her that her father was injured in a traffic accident, so they rush to the hospital instead. After reaching the hospital to find out that Captain Chen is okay, they return to Mengyan's house and cuddle, where, after YM asks again she reveals that she wanted to go to the tavern to have sex with him. But the mood is now gone and they go to sleep instead. The next morning, Zhao Ying calls YM to tell him that her parents are visiting and she needs him to pretend to be her boyfriend. Mengyan, hearing the call, takes the phone to tell ZY personally that she is okay with it.

Mengyan invites Zhiyun out to go window shopping together. At first Zhiyun is scared of Mengyan, but Mengyan realizes that YM would never leave Zhiyun and that Zhiyun's personality actually matches Mengyan's pretty well. She thinks they could get along well and become good friends, so she tells Zhiyun to treat her like an older sister. She takes Zhiyun to the Vila YM bought for her and Zhou Jiajia, and then begins to tell Zhiyun about Jiajia as they head towards her hospital ward. They then agree to go to Shu Ya's concert together with YM.

Shu Ya's Identity

Mengyan and Zhiyun go to the concert with Yang Ming. Just before the concert they stop at Shu Ya's dressing room and take pictures with her. Mengyan teases YM for not making a move on Shu Ya, reminding him that she's approved. She asks Zhiyun if she minds YM dating Shu Ya, and Zhiyun replies how could she mind if Mengyan is okay with it? But of course this is just Mengyan joking because she doesn't think YM actually has a chance of dating Shu Ya. They then head to their seats where they are joined by Bao Sanli and Hou Zhenhan, and Tian Donghua and his girlfriend Wang Xue.

After entering onstage, Shu Ya invites a 'lucky random audience member' to the stage to sing the first song with her, choosing Yang Ming. YM refuses because he doesn't want to be the center of attention. Although Shu Ya is disappointed, she hides it and teases him, saying he has stage fright, and then asks Mengyan to come up stage and sing with her instead. Mengyan enthusiastically agrees. Mengyan's beauty doesn't lose to Shu Ya's, and although not professionally trained, she's not a bad singer either, so the audience is very happy.

Shu Ya announces that her QQ friend, "There is no True Love in this World" is in the audience, and that the next song is one of her and his old favorites. Mengyan is shocked so badly she forgets the lyrics at first, because that internet name is the same as YM's. But she quickly think's that it may be a coincidence and sings together with Shu Ya after an apologetic smile. Once off the stage Mengyan asks YM if he is the "There is no True Love in this World" that Shu Ya knows. He says he is, but he didn't know she was his QQ friend until she announced it just then. He says she told him once that she was Shu Ya, but he thought it a joke. Mengyan asks him for Shu Ya's QQ name and he agrees.

After the concert, they bump into Shu Ya, whose ankle is bruised, and despite her jealousy she tells YM to carry Shu Ya to her dressing room and even lets him give her ankle a massage.

Once home she contacts Shu Ya's QQ, telling her she is "There is no True Love in this World"'s girlfriend. Shu Ya(not knowing that she is talking to Mengyan) is happy to have a female QQ friend that she can have girl talk with, and proceeds to tell Mengyan about her childhood love. Listening to the story, Mengyan realizes it is far too similar to YM's and Su Ya's, and asks Shu Ya if she is Su Ya. Su Ya is shocked that someone knows about her deepest most precious secret and asks what Mengyan's goal is. Mengyan tells her to meet her at a cafe nearby, and that everything will be made clear.

Meeting in the cafe, Shu Ya is surprised to see Mengyan there, but Mengyan quickly makes it clear that she is the one who invited her to talk, and Shu Ya realizes that YM must be her QQ friend "There is no True Love in this World". She tells Mengyan that she is indeed Su Ya. Mengyan informs her that YM still lovers her and inquires what she plans to do. Su Ya makes it clear that she does not intend to steal YM away from Mengyan, hinting that they can share him. When Mengyan asks if Su Ya wants help confessing her identity to YM, Su Ya says she wants to do it herself.

Mengyan then asks her if she could accept Zhou Jiajia as one of YM's girlfriends. Su Ya is shocked, having never seen YM together with Zhou Jiajia, but Mengyan tells her she will explain as they travel. Mengyan then tells Su Ya Jiajia's story on the way to the hospital. Once Su Ya see's Jiajia's body, she decides to forgive her, and even starts to like her.

Murder and Bloody Bed Sheets

Zhiyun, still feeling guilty and shy, decides she doesn't want to get between YM and Mengyan on valentines day, and thereby stop them from becoming intimate, so she tells them she has a stomach ache. YM and Mengyan go to the beach and meet up with Tian Donghua and his girlfriend Wang Xue to rent a private yacht for the day.

While out at sea, they encounter a resort ship and decide to board to eat. They invite the captain of their yacht to join them, but he says he is not allowed to leave the ship and will wait for them. After eating and gambling, they return to their yacht and set off again, kissing and holding their lovers romantically.

After a while of drifting they notice there are no ships around and they cant see the shore. They go to speak to the captain and find out he has abandoned the boat and there is no gas left. Whats more, there is a hole in the boat and it is slowly flooding. Just when they find life vest and think they will survive, Wang Zhitao arrives in a motorboat with a pistol.

Zhitao tells YM to jump overboard or he will kill Mengyan. YM does so after Zhitao promises not to hurt anyone on board. Zhitao then shoots in the water where YM jumped, and blood arises. Zhitao then shoots Donghua in the leg, and Xue chews him out for hurting her boyfriend, saying it wasnt part of their plan/agreement, and then hits a switch to blow up Zhitao's boat. But the boat doesnt explode, and Zhitao reveals that he knew she might betray him, and had his secretary search the boat and disable the bomb in advance.

YM then appears out of the water, and knocks the gun out of Zhitao's hand, revealing that he cut his arm to make it look like he was shot. Xue picks up the gun and shoots her brother, Zhitao, to death and his body is left for the sharks.

After boarding Zhitao's motorboat, YM uses his ability to find and drive to the nearest island. Upon arriving they visit a hospital for their wounds, and Chen Mengyan calls her father to tell him what happened. They then rent a hotel for a few hours.

YM takes a bath, and Mengyan washes him because his hand is injured. After the bath, YM eats out Mengyan's pussy before penetrating her for the first time, but it doesn't last long because Mengyan is in pain. A little later they they have sex again.

Trivia

• Chen Mengyan is the only girl with whom Yang Ming's sexual advances are interrupted numerous times.
